About Me

My story begins with the desire to design and build functional pieces of woodwork. Growing up on a small farm, access to
resources and materials was often limited. Creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness were essential to keeping the farm
functioning smoothly. As a young teenager, my mother and I designed and constructed a custom kitchen unit for our tent
trailer. In high school I developed a love for wood shop that blossomed into a dream of becoming an industrial arts teacher.

After high school I immediately enrolled in the carpentry apprenticeship program which led to a lifelong career in the field
that included owning a small construction company, working as building inspector, serving as project manager for a large
construction cooperation, and culminating with the realization of my dream and becoming an instructor in a college carpentry
apprenticeship program.

Custom Pieces

Building unique, one of a kind functional works of art using a combination of new and up-cycled materials.  While my signature creations are of my own design, I am most inspired when collaborating with clients to create individualized custom pieces.

Quality Craftsmenship

With aesthetics and quality in mind, I sought to add “wow” factor to construction that would last for years. “A thing of beauty is a Joy forever” became a mantra from which I honed my craft.  Recently retired from the daily work force, I have embarked on a new life passion.
